Tiny Tea by Your Tea teatox review

Good evening. Today's post is a lifestyle one about a lovely tea which I have been drinking. Now I have seen teatoxes circulating their way around instagram and I must say at first I was very sceptical. In case you're wondering, a teatox is basically replacing your usual tea with this tea and drinking up to 3 times a day. It is supposed to cleanse your body and to help with the digestion of your food. After a lot of thought I decided to order the tiny tea from yourtea.com 14 day cleanse for £20 + shipping.

The shipping was really quick and was with me within 2 days of ordering. I was very excited to start my teatox but with it being a 14day teatox I waited until a Monday to start. Now this is what the tiny tea claims to do 'My intricately balanced herbal blend will nourish and cleanse your digestive system, providing it the support it needs to replenish and restore back to its natural state. This cleanse will assist with reducing weight, easing bloating, increasing digestion functionality, improving skin clarity, increasing energy levels and alleviate issues associated with food intolerances.'  One thing that I also really like about tiny tea is that it does not produce laxative effect (so you don't need to worry about that one!)

They suggest you drink the tea 3 times a day 30 minutes before your meal. However, I really found this tricky. Being a teacher you don't get chance to stop and grab a drink before your lunch break. So most of the time I did end up drinking the tea with my meal. The tea itself tastes really good. My Mum says it smells like hippies (I'm not sure how or why). It smells herbal and the taste isn't too different from green tea, just more of a floral taste. I even reused some of my tea bags as there is plenty of life in them after a drink.

Now did I see any change in my body? I would say yes! But these were only minor changes. I felt my skin was much better, clearer and a lot more radiant than usual. It also made me feel more energised, especially on a morning. I would also drink the tea before my run and it helped to give me a little boost of energy then. As for changes in my body I feel that I had a lot less bloating around my stomach. Now I am not someone who typically suffers with bloating but my stomach is a lot flatter and I am beginning to see definition in my abs now. I really wish I would've taken before/after pictures, as I have seen so many people do this. Maybe I will re-order and do it again.

Overall I am really pleased with the tea. It tastes amazing and makes you feel amazing. One thing I would suggest though is that you make time to drink it 30 minutes before your meal (especially if like me it takes you 30minutes to drink tea anyway). I am really interested in finding out about the other teas on the market now. I would also suggest you follow their instagram as there are usually promotional codes floating about.

The Temple Spa Experience

Hi lovelies, I hope you're all well. Again I have had a very busy past few weeks including the big Ofsted inspectors in school this week. However, last weekend I was invited to my friends Temple Spa skin therapy class. Now I have never been to anything like this, not even the Virgin Vie parties, so I had no idea what to expect.

I arrived with no makeup on, except mascara. When I got there everyone was seated around the table and the products were all arranged in the middle of the table surrounded by lovely candles. We each had a skincare questionnaire sheet, a mirror, hairband and a lovely chocolate. We were introduced to temple spa and the lovely consultant Ali, explained temple's spas history and celebrity following (which includes Kylie Minogue, Simon Cowell and Cat Deeley). We then had to tick a number of different statements which applied to our skin which helped Ali to identify our skin type. My skin type was dry. This step is important as all the products which you then use throughout the session are perfect for your skin type.

The session then consisted of us following a total skincare routine mini facial using the products. Ali was very good at explaining the products and how to use them. All the products smell absolutely amazing and are made of natural ingredients inspired by the Mediterranean, which you can really smell. We even got to try the oh so famous skin truffle, which has numerous awards and amazing reviews but retails at £85 eeek. It includes 'Diamond powder, gold and silk clearly do illuminate the skin from first application, testers report;  other key ingredients include black truffles, grapeseed champagne, purifying strawberries and lush cocoa butter, in a cashmere-soft formulation'. It's an amazing product and immediately made my skin look radiant but I can't justify that price.

At the end of the session you can choose your products and there are special offers if you buy the products in that specific skincare range. However, I'm quite happy with my routine so I did resist the urge to buy. I did purchase the toning essence (£15). It comes in a handy spray bottle and it doesn't have any alcohol in (which is the perfect toner for me). There are no nasty chemicals in this, which I find some toners end up stinging and irritating my face. It also smells amazing with Mediterranean staples such as tomatoes, basil, orange, lime, lemon, mandarin, ginger, lavender and melon. After using it I really am wanting to buy the rest of the range now. Another one of my friends is having a party in 2 weeks though so I'm sure I will be purchasing more!
